MATCH PREVIEW: YEOVIL TOWN vs COLCHESTER UNITED

Saturday brings the return of Sky Bet League Football for Colchester as they travel to fellow strugglers Yeovil Town in a crucial clash between two lower league sides.

Yeovil Town currently sit 21st and are on a run of 2 loses in 5 games.

Yeovil will be hoping to have peeled themselves off the ceiling as the excitement of Tuesday’s FA Cup success and the subsequent third round draw is refocused into a League campaign that still needs addressing.

Yeovil last played in the League against an Oldham side and won impressively 4-0 which left them two points behind strugglers Crawley and two points from safety.

Colchester sit in 23rd place, three points worse off than Yeovil and only a point off rock bottom. A Yeovil win could see their head finally surface above the relegation zone, while a Colchester win could see them leapfrog the Glovers.

Colchester are on a very poor run of form losing all of their last five games and you have to go back to mid-october before they picked up their last three points.

Team News:

Colchester will be without talented defender Michael O’Donoghue after he ruptured his knee ligaments.
