Under The Prem recently spoke with Mark Nicholson from Elgin City. The midfielder answered a few short questions for us discussing the previous season, pre-season preparations and his current 2014/15 ambitions.
How do you feel last season went for the club?
Last season was pretty much a disaster from start
to finish. The only positive we could
probably take is we scored enough goals to be able to compete at the top end of
the table but again we conceded far too many goals.
What were some of the highs and lows of the
2013/14 campaign for you personally?
Again there's not much positives to take, and
even from a personal note I missed half the season with different injuries so
definitely a season to forget
How has pre-season gone for you on a personal
level so far?
Pre season has gone reasonably well so far. After
missing last years I feel the fittest I have been in a couple years now so I'm
pleased with how it's gone.
We're quickly approaching the 2014/15 kick-off,
what are you looking forward to most this season?
It's a strange one but I'm looking forward to our
whole squad actually training together on a weekly basis. This will be my 8th
season here and we've always had half our team from down south and although we
had a good squad on paper it clearly didn't work.
